PRIM hodinky - výrobce luxusních a vysoce ceněných hodinek PRIM.

Měl 15 rubínových kamenů, kotvový krok a samokompenzační vlásek.

PRIM TOURBILLON COMENIUS

The luxury PRIM Tourbillon COMENIUS watch is a special limited edition series produced in honour of the world-renowned Czech teacher and scholar Jan Amos Comenius. Comenius is one of the most widely respected Czech historical figures, although during his lifetime – in the 17th century – he had to overcome many obstacles. Nevertheless, he remained true to his vision and implemented a wide range of educational reforms which have stood the test of time. Comenius lived in turbulent times, and he strove to bring reconciliation among various warring factions.

The PRIM Tourbillon COMENIUS is the first watch in the history of the PRIM brand to use a mechanical movement with a complication known as a ‘flying tourbillon’. This method, invented by the French watchmaker A. L. Breguet, has been known since 1795. It involves mounting the balance wheel in a rotating cage. One rotation lasts one minute, so throughout the cycle the balance wheel is always in a different position with regard to the Earth’s gravitational pull. This method makes the watch run more accurately; gravity is one of the factors influencing the balance wheel and thus affecting the accuracy of the movement. This complication requires exceptional technical precision, so it is installed only by a select few global watchmakers. The movement in the PRIM Tourbillon T.G.M. consists of 179 components, some of which can only be viewed clearly under a microscope. The watch also displays the phase of the moon and indicates the date by means of a separate hand on the dial. The copper dial features an embossed surface with twelve inset diamonds. The dial also has an opening through which the tourbillon and the movement can be viewed.

The watch case is made of 316L stainless steel – a material frequently used in the production of high-quality jewellery and surgical instruments. The steel is precision-milled using modern CNC machinery and then polished to a smooth, mirror-like shine.

COMENIUS GOLD

The case of the PRIM Tourbillon COMENIUS is gold-plated using the IPG method – a technique only recently applied to the craft of watchmaking. This method gives a gold plate that is several times tougher than previously used methods.

The back of the case is fashioned from 316L stainless steel with a small mineral glass window. It displays the name of the watch, its serial number, the materials used for the case and the crystal, and the water resistance rating. The PRIM Tourbillon T.G.M. is water resistant up to 3 ATM, providing ample protection for everyday use. Each watch is individually tested in a vacuum chamber and a pressure chamber.

This model also features a convex crystal made of synthetic sapphire, a material which provides unmatchable resistance against scratches and damage. On the Mohs scale of mineral hardness this sapphire (corundum) reaches level 9, just one degree below diamond. The convex shape highlights the beautiful detailing of the dial and improves readability.

The watch strap is fashioned from high-quality leather and features a double clasp known as a butterfly. The clasp is 316L stainless steel, finished using the IPG method. It consists of three interlocking components. The strap and the clasp are firmly connected to each other so that the watch must be slipped off around the hand when the clasp is undone. Thanks to this system, the watch cannot accidentally fall off the wrist.

When assembled and completed, the watch is subjected to stringent quality tests for visual appearance, water resistance and accuracy. Only then is the watch ready to be shipped and sold. The exclusive Tourbillon T.G.M. comes in a luxurious wooden box which also holds its international certification.
